Best chinese food on this side of town. Chefs must be gourmet. I've never been disappointed. Sometimes there's a wait as theyre so busy during dining hours

Had an excellent dinner. Portions were generous and I felt a great value for the price. Everything I ordered was good or better. I was very happy with the whole dining experience. Dec 24 Update: Still my favorite spot in Studio City. I always order the Sweet Pungent Chicken (which I highly recommend). The Pineapple Curry Fried Rice is another favorite (I get mine without shrimp). I'm here at least once a week when I'm in LA.

Although the atmosphere is a step above a fast-food establishment, the food was rather good. This restaurant was suggested to us by some friends merely because of the eggrolls. The eggrolls were actually very good, but they should be for four dollars apiece, which in order consists of two pieces for eight dollars. We were there for lunch and I started my meal with the egg corn soup. It was surprisingly very good. The salads that come with the meal at lunchtime were extremely tasty and I was very impressed. My main course was the orange chicken, and my wife's dish was beef with broccoli. Both dishes were extremely tasty, but we found the beef to be somewhat tough. I would also like to add this is one of the few Chinese restaurants that we were able to get crispy noodles to put in into our soup. This is usually reserved for New York Chinese restaurants. The Thai tea was good, but nothing over the top. The restaurant was extremely quiet during a lunch hour, and we were able to have good conversation. We were with friends that I had not seen for 57 years and it was a good venue to sit talk and eat. I would come back again, but not make this one of my regular haunts.

Five years ago, on a rainy afternoon in Los Angeles - the kind that sneaks into your shoes and makes umbrellas feel hilariously inadequate - my partner and I had just finished errands at a local bank in Studio City. The streets gleamed under a stubborn drizzle, and, hungry and thoroughly soaked, we went searching for shelter. We slipped into the nearby Green Apple China Bistro, like two weary ships at last finding safe harbor in a gentle sea of rain. Warmth wrapped around us instantly - the fragrant swirl of ginger, garlic, and sizzling woks felt like a hug from the universe. We plopped into a booth by the window, watching raindrops perform races down the glass as the city blurred into watery streaks. Soon, a parade of treasures arrived. New York‑style egg rolls - crisp and steaming, their golden shells crackling softly as we picked them up, stuffed with a savory mix of cabbage, celery, pork, and shrimp. Each bite released a warm, fragrant hug of flavors, perfectly balanced with a playful drizzle of sweet-and-sour plum sauce that danced across the tongue like a tiny celebration. Two‑Flavor Shrimp - plump, succulent shrimp artfully arranged on a divided plate, dressed in two contrasting sauces: one savory with gentle warmth, the other bright, sweet, and tangy. Though distinct, the sauces came together to form a harmonious whole, balancing and elevating each bite. Caramelized walnuts added a delicate, nutty crunch, completing a sophisticated interplay of textures and flavors. Bold yet refined, this dish transformed every forkful into a memorable culinary journey. The Pineapple Curry Fried Rice - tender chicken and succulent shrimp intertwined with crisp peas, sweet carrots, scallions, and delicate white onions, all embraced by fragrant, golden fried rice. Juicy pineapple added a luminous, tropical sweetness, while toasted cashews lent a subtle, nutty crunch. Infused with a gentle, aromatic curry spice, each bite unfolded layers of savory warmth and textural harmony - a refined, vibrant reinterpretation of a classic fried rice..., adding a cheerful tropical wink to the otherwise gray day. Each bite was a tiny rebellion against the rain, a delicious incantation that chased away the chill. The hum of conversation, the clatter of dishes, and the attentive staff made the dreary afternoon feel like an unexpected adventure in a hidden, enchanted corner of the city. When we stepped back into the drizzle, we carried more than satisfied appetites - we carried a pocket of warmth, laughter, and a whisper of magic that danced in the air well beyond the last drop of rain. Nowadays, even five years later, we return to the Green Apple China Bistro with eager anticipation. Since I have no favorites and treasure the thrill of discovery, I select different dishes each time, delighting in the unexpected. Every plate, vibrant in flavor, texture, and aroma, holds a small surprise, turning each meal into an exquisite, ever-changing culinary journey. Each visit leaves a lingering impression long after the last taste - a tiny spark of enchantment waiting to be discovered anew. Maria E. Good food with great prices! My friend and I ordered 2 vegetarian lunch specials (the Mapo Tofu and Spicy Hot Szechuan Eggplant), which came with a HUGE pot of brown rice, salads, and optional soup. We opted out of the soup because neither were vegan. A pot of jasmine tea was also included. The portion sizes were really generous (bill came out to $18/per person with tip included). Restaurant is bright and clean with hand sanitizer available at the table. Service was decent - one of the servers seemed a bit impatient or distracted, and another was really sweet and helpful. Not sure if there is any free parking available - we parked about a block away in a lot and it cost $1.50.

I was craving Chinese food, and this place kept popping up so I decided to try it. It is connected to a shopping center so there’s parking out on the street and also underground. I parked underground. I had called for takeout and when I came I waited a few minutes. The staff was nice and the inside was spacious with a lovely ambiance. It was an early evening so not that many people there but I saw they had a lot of people ordering take out. I ordered the Orange Chicken and Beef Chow Fun with Bean Sauce. Both were good but for me I like my orange chicken to be a little crispier. I’ve had better Chinese food, but when I’m nearby and craving Chinese food I’m down to try this spot again.
